What is WOXheal?

Woxheal is a clear, colourless and odourless reconstituted solution Diperoxochloric Acid concentrate and a Sterile Sodium Chloride Solution that helps in healing of diabetic foot ulcer


How it works?

WOXheal® acts through a dual mechanism. It promotes wound healing by specifically stimulating the cells that are involved in the forming matrix for the wound bed thus assisting in faster closure. At the same time, it fights with the infectious agents present on the infected ulcer bed and stops their activities.


WOXheal® packaging

WOXheal® is a clear, colourless and odourless reconstituted solution after mixing the contents of the bottle A and bottle B.
Its package consist of two bottles bottle A (small bottle) and bottle B( big bottle). Bottle A contains Diperoxochloric Acid concentrate, the active ingredient presented in a 10 ml bottle and bottle B is a Sterile Sodium Chloride Solution BP presented in a 30 ml bottle. Either of the bottle contents must not be applied directly on the wound bed.


Age group

The safety of WOXheal® has not yet been tested in young patients. So, it must only be used for the management of diabetic foot ulcer in individuals above 18 years of age. For pregnant women, lactating women and persons below 18 years of age- Please refer Prescribing Information of "WOXheal®" and write notes for them. In case you belong to any of this category, please let your specialist Doctor know and they can decide a whether "WOXheal®" should be prescribed to you or not.


Dosage and administration:

Before applying to the wound dressing, Diperoxochloric Acid concentrate [Bottle A] has to be "Reconstituted" by mixing the contents of bottle A into the contents of bottle B as per instructions provided below:


  • 'Bottle A' and 'Bottle B' should be opened.
  • The entire contents of Bottle A must be poured into Bottle B to form the desired mixture for topical application. For mixing the contents, the move the bottle upside down 5 times gently.
  • After this, use a non-sticky, sterile multi wound dressing available in different sizes: 5 x 5 cm or 10 x 15 cm, for wound dressing with the prepared WOXheal® solution.


  • You must wash your hands thoroughly before applying the solution.
  • Before application, the wound should be clean thoroughly as advised by your doctor.
  • Find a dropper in the inner box and dip the Glass dropper into the WOXheal reconstituted solution and 3.5 ml should be applied on inner gauze of 5 x 5 cm in a ZIG-ZAG fashion - 3 times 1 ml and 1 time 0.5 ml.
  • While applying, make sure that dropper should not touch to the inner gauze.
  • Now, apply the inner gauze swab on your wound area.
  • Cover the inner gauze swab with outer gauze swab to prevent dryness at the wound site.
  • Finally, fix the gauze to the wound by rolling the bandage over the outer gauze. Once done, use micro tape to seal the dressing. On subsequent days, remove the tape carefully followed by bandage and outer gauze.
  • Apply WOXheal® reconstituted solution 3.5 ml on inner gauze Daily and dressing should be done as described earlier.
  • Remember that the bandage and outer gauze should be changed on daily basis and the inner gauze should be changed every alternate day. Ensure that you do not touch the dropper to the inner gauze during each application.
  • It is advised not to use the Reconstituted Solution after 14 days of mixing/reconstitution.

  • What can you experience with WOXheal® ?
    In clinical trials, WOXheal® [Diperoxochloric Acid] Topical Solution has proven to be effective in the management of neuropathic, chronic and cutaneous ulcers of the lower extremity in patients with diabetes mellitus. The overall success rate of WOXheal® [Diperoxochloric Acid] Topical Solution treated patients was 93% with a threefold faster reduction of the wound area. The safety of the WOXheal® [Diperoxochloric Acid] Topical Solution is excellent and comparable with the "control" drug as elucidated by safety evaluations. So, you must experience quick recovery from your wounds / ulcer without any possible side effects. In case of any adverse events, you must immediately contact your Specialist doctor.
